Nationally, Chi Omega was founded on April 5th, 1895 at the University of Arkansas. Chi Omega was founded on our six purposes by our five original founders who sought to create a national organization for themselves. Today, we have grown into the largest national sorority in the nation. Locally, the Zeta Theta chapter was founded in 1969, and now boasts more than 100 members. Our crest, pictured to the left, was adopted in 1902 and is known and loved by every Chi Omega. Our colors are cardinal and straw, and our jewels are diamonds or pearls.

BadgeChi Omega's badge is a monogram of the Greek letter "Chi" superimposed over the Greek letter "Omega." The fourteen stones, always pearls or diamonds, are set into the badge. Dr. Charles Richardson, one of Chi Omega's Founders, crafted our first badge from dental gold. We also wear a guard with the greek letters "Zeta Theta" to denote our chapter.
